Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold acting on the Security Council’s latest authorization to continue his “good offices” to do something in the direction of easing tensions between Israel and the Arab states, conferred today with Dr. Omar Loutfi Egypt’s representative to the Security Council, and later with Sir Pierson Dixon, Britain’s permanent representative, who sponsored the Middle East resolution at the last series of Security Council sessions. Last Friday, Mr. Hammarskjold discussed the Arab Israel situation with Mordecai R. Kidron, deputy chairman of the Israel delegation.
