“Historically religion was developed purely on economic and social bases,” Dr. Wolf Adler asserted in a lecture last night under the auspices of the Society for the Advancement of Literature and Art at 88 South Seventh avenue. Dr. Adler’s topic was “Is Religion a Menace to Mankind.”
Dr. Adler stated that there is no foundation for religious emotion psychologically speaking. “Religion has been a hindrance to mankind rather than a help,” he declared.
