Leonce Levy, 69, twice decorated by the French Government and for 34 years a compositor on the New York World, was buried in Mount Zion Cemetery yesterday following impressive services at the West End Funeral Chapel, 200 West Ninety-first street.
Born in France, he came to America at an early age. During the war he served as a dollar-a-year man for the French government, helping them to purchase supplies worth millions. The French government decorated him twice, with the French Legion of Honor and the French Instruction Publique.
