Former Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey left for the United States today with a promise to recommend the immediate sale of more Phantom jets to Israel when he reports on his tour in Washington. Mr. Humphrey said at Lydda Airport, “A strong Israel is a step towards peace and is also important for American interests in the Middle East.” Yesterday Mr. Humphrey was given an honorary fellowship by the Weizmann Institute of Science.
