Indiana Jewish women from all parts of the State gathered here today for the opening of a two-day state convention of the Temple Sisterhood.
Keynote speaker of the convention, Mrs. Hugo Hartman of Lake Forest, Ill., spoke on “Our Changing Jewish Women.” Mrs. Hartman is a national executive board member of the sisterhood, and is vice-chairman of the national committee on Young Folks Temple Leagues.
Mrs. Isaac Born, Indianapolis, president of the state federation of the sisterhood, presided. Mrs. S. H. Ottenheimer, East Chicago, Ind., is treasurer of the federation.
Members held a dinner at the Broadmoor Country Club. Rabbi Morris M. Feuerlicht of the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation spoke on “Our Religion in an Everchanging World.”
In tomorrow’s sessions the principal speakers will be Rabbi Milton Greenwald, Evansville, Ind., who will discuss “Our Changing Jewish History,” and Joseph Friend, Indianapolis.
