Indonesia would welcome tsunami assistance from Israel, a diplomat said. Suhardjano Sastromihardjo, the minister counselor for political affairs at the Indonesian Embassy in Washington, attended a B’nai B’rith International colloquium on tsunami aid Tuesday and was asked about his country’s attitude to Israeli aid. “Indonesia welcomes all kinds of assistance from the international community,” said Suhardjano, who greeted the lunchtime crowd with a “Shalom.”
