The procedure of the League of Nations in dealing with the complaints of the national minorities was discussed at Saturday’s session of the International Congress of the Union of League of Nations Societies being held here.
The congress, in a resolution adopted, urged the League of Nations that the investigation of the complaints of the national minorities submitted to the League should not exceed a period of six months. When the efforts to reach a peaceful settlement between the majority government and the minorities fails, the Council of the League of Nations is to have the right to decide the matter without an appeal. If the parties resist, the Council is to enforce its decision, the resolution urged.
