The Israel-Arab conflict was termed by Prime Minister Anthony Eden here today as having reached “the flash point of danger.” Sir Anthony made this reference in a nationwide radio broadcast commemorating the tenth anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
Speaking of the dangerous situation resulting from Israel-Arab conflicts, the Prime Minister continued: “At this very moment, Gen Burns of Canada, who is United Nations Chief of Staff, together with his truce observers, is working hard for peace between Israel and her Arab neighbor. They have a specially difficult task, and deserve our thanks and encouragement.”
