A Reform congregation charged today that officials of a community center founded by the Women’s League for Israel refused, allegedly under Orthodox pressure, to permit continued use of the hall in the center for religious services.
The Reform group, which held services in the hall of the Bet Hechalutzot for several months, said the action would deprive its members of a place to worship during the coming High Holy Days. Members of the congregation have started a campaign to win reversal of the local action. They are sending letters to Mrs. H. Cahane, president of the Women’s League, at its headquarters in New York City.
