Israel expects a considerable increase in tourist traffic this summer. About 6,000 visitors will be arriving monthly until the end of October.
According to Government estimates, foreign currency income from tourists amounts to about $150 per capita. This summer’s tourist traffic will include parties of non-Jewish pilgrims, student and teacher groups, scientists and tours organized by Jewish institutions.
