Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister, told a meeting of local editors that Israel must hold Lebanon responsible for the attack on an Israel bus last week. The bus was riddled with 16 bullets but neither the driver nor his lone remaining passenger was hurt.
She said there was a basis for the Lebanese claim that the attackers were Syrians and crossed the Syrian-Lebanese border before entering Israel but that Israel “must place responsibility on Lebanon from whose territory the attackers entered Israel. “
