Israel is happy with the Bush Administration’s stance on the Middle East, Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres told the annual convention of the American Jewish Committee. Speaking hours before meeting with Bush at the White House, Peres said the United States is acting as a “facilitator, not negotiator” of Mideast peace, a stance Peres considers “fair.”
