Israel will appeal to all the nations of the world, especially to those countries where Jews are now in danger, for a change of policy toward the Jews and to permit their Jewish populations to leave for Israel. Mrs. Golda Myerson, Israel’s Minister of Labor, today told a press conference at the Israeli consulate.
Mrs. Myerson pointed out the she had come here to assume the direction of the Israel delegation at the United Nations only for the period that the question of the Communist anti-Jewish drive would be raised in the UN General Assembly. She reported that all delegations at the United Nations approached on this issue ”have shown a satisfactory response and encouraging attitude.”
