Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would oppose a bill to strengthen an already existing law that extends Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights. The bill would require a majority of at least 80 legislators to approve any change to the 1981 Golan Law, which applied the law and jurisdiction of the Jewish state over the Golan.
