Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his Cabinet that Israel would not meet a Friday deadline for carrying out the next West Bank redeployment called for under the Wye accord. Netanyahu said the Palestinians had yet to fulfill a number of commitments Israel has set as preconditions for further troop withdrawals. In response, Palestinian Authority officials said the self- rule government would consider suspending implementation of the accord.
