Closer cooperation between the Zionist organizations of Rumania proper and Transylvania was decided upon at a joint meeting of rep?ntatives of the two groups at Timisoara, near the western border of the country.

Its first action was the adoption of a resolution thanking the Soviet Union ? Andrei Gromyko’s stand at the recent United Nations session on Palestine and for ? “wide understanding” shown by the U.S.S.R. for the war sacrifices of the Jewish ?ple and their desire to establish a Jewish state.
