Attacks upon the Jews, which now feature every speech of Sir Oswald Mosley, British Fascist leader, were today repudiated by Italian Fascism.

In a special article in II Regina Fascista, Picenardi, well known Fascist writer, warns the British Fascists against the risks inherent in emulation of German Nazism, which resulted in a “justified retaliation by the world and the isolation of Germany.”

Point was lent to the repudiation of Mosleyite anti-Semitism when Premier Benito Mussolini bestowed the highest order, Commander of the Crown of Italy, upon the Jewish army officer, Arturo Deminerbi. Commander Deminerbi is a member of the executive body of the Italian war heroes association and vice-president of the Zionist Federation of Rome.

A portrait of King Victor Emanuel, painted by the Jewish painter, Ercole Olivette, was assigned by the King to the new government palace at Turin to commemorate the former metropolis of the House of Savoy.

Two Jewish anti-Fascists, Simon Segre and Leon Ginsburg, today received three and four-year jail sentences respectively for conspiracy against the state. Two years were immediately lopped off both sentences by virtue of a recent amnesty.

The trial of the two men before the Special Tribunal attracted a great deal of attention, since Italian Fascism has been consistently friendly to the Jews.
