An Italian communique announced today that the air force had made “heavy air raids” on the Palestinian port of Jaffa in which “harbor installations and storehouses were hit and large conflagrations caused.”
Yesterday’s communique claimed that “direct hits were scored on a refinery, damaging plants and causing large fires” at Haifa, Palestine’s most important port and oil shipping center.
