A budget of $2,247,000 was adopted by the board of directors of the National Jewish Welfare Board here yesterday to meet the needs of the JWB religious and morale programs for American Jewish servicemen and the needs of the 350 community centers and YM-YWHA’s in this country during 1956.
Charles Aaron, JWB president, called for larger allocations from Jewish community fund-raising bodies so that the organization could adequately meet its “historic commitment for service to the American military establishment and to the Jewish communities of America.”
