The family of the late Jacob P. Adler, famous Yiddish actor, has organized itself into a theatrical troupe and this week it begins its first engagement at the Second Avenue Theatre, where it will appear in Jacob Gordin’s “The Wild Man,” the play in which Jacob Adler first established himself as an artist. After playing a limited engagement on the East Side, the company will play before other Jewish audiences.
Mrs. Sarah Adler, the widow, is the guiding spirit of the troupe, which consists of herself and her children, Charles, Frances, Luther, Irving, Adolph, Stella, Julia, and Joseph Schoengold, a son-in-law of Jacob Adler. The title role in “The Wild Man” will be played by Luther Adler.
