The Palestinian Revisionists who were arrested and charged by the police with belonging to an illegal association, yesterday wrote a letter to the Palestine police in which they threatened to begin a hunger strike, unless they were immediately released or examined by a magistrate. They declared that they would commence a hunger strike on Tuesday, if the police did not agree to their demands.

Hazit Ha’am, Revisionist organ, stated, that in the event of a hunger strike, the six Revisionists who were released on bail would cancel their bail bonds and join the other prisoners in the hunger strike.

Four of the arrested Revisionist leaders, Hafshan, Neuman, Kipais and Alperin, will be released on bail tomorrow, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learned today.

The answer of the government in regard to the five Revisionists remaining in jail is expected later.

Thus far eleven of the twenty Revisionist leaders seized in a series of raids by the Palestine police, have been relased on bail. They were alleged to have been members of an illegal terrorist organization. This offense carries a penalty of three years’ imprisonment under the Security Act in force in Palestine.
