Installation exercises of the Jamaica Jewish Center’s sisterhood, Flushing and Amherst avenues, Jamaica, will be held tonight with Mrs. Albert J. May, president of the New York State Federation of Temple Sisterhoods, as principal speaker. Rabbi William S. Malev will install the new officers.
Officers include Mrs. Augusta Weill, president; Mrs. Minnie Simon and Mrs. Elizabeth Becker, vice-presidents; Mrs. Tilda Hirtenstein, social corresponding secretary; Mrs. Ida Kroman, financial secretary; Mrs. Minnie Estrin, treasurer; Mrs. Claire Lonschein, recording secretary; Mrs. Jeanette Fleck and Mrs. Rica Grill, corresponding secretaries.
Others to participate in the program include Samuel Berk, center president; Magistrate Benjamin Marvin, Assistant District Attorney Mordecai Konowitz and Mrs. Rose Marvin, chairman of the installation committee.
