Senator Jacob K. Javits of New York, and Israel Ambassador to the U.S. Yitzhak Rabin will be the main speakers at the closing 73rd Zionist Organization of America National Convention banquet on Sept. 6, at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. The banquet, being held in honor of Jacques Torczyner, President of the ZOA for the past five years, who is completing his tenure of office, is expected to be attended by more than 1,000 delegates and guests. The conference will begin Sept. 3. In making the announcement, Dr. Harry F. Wechsler, honorary vice-president of ZOA and chairman of the National Convention Committee, said that both Senator Javits and Ambassador Rabin will speak on the tense military and diplomatic situation in the Middle East. The convention Itself will probe issues facing the Zionist movement, Israel and the crisis in the Middle East.
