Jerry Falwell corrected the “misimpression” that he believes Jews may reach heaven without converting.
Falwell was referring to a Jerusalem Post story that claimed he had accepted “dual covenant” theology, which maintains that Jews have a separate covenant with God that allows them entrance to heaven. “I simply cannot alter my belief that Jesus is the way to heaven, as he taught,” Falwell said.
