The first annual award for the best editorial appearing in an Anglo-Jewish publication during the year will go to the Jewish civic Leader of Worcester, Mass., it was announced here today by Gabriel Cohen, editor of the Jewish Post, which is sponsoring the award. The winning editorial, entitled “Arm Your Children With Knowledge,” was written for the Civic Leader by Rabbi Gersion Appel of Worcester. It is a plea for giving Jewish children a comprehensive Jewish education.
