An aeroplane named “Bira Bidjan” after the Jewish state in the Far Eastern Republic was today officially presented to the Soviet government by the Jewish Communists as a present to the sixteenth Congress of the Communist Party now in session. The aeroplane was built with the earnings of those who worked last Rosh Hashonah and Yom Kippur, donating their wages for the special Jewish aeroplane fund.
