Plans for the construction of a Jewish cultural center in Munich are being considered by the Central Council of the Jewish Cultural Commission, Professor Baruch Graubard, council chairman, informed the Jewish Telegraphic Agency today.
Professor Graubard said that municipal officials have expressed great interest in the project. The plans, still in the initial stages of development, call for a center building comprising club rooms, a kindergarten, a youth synagogue, a four-grade public school and several rooms for religious instruction. It is estimated that about 4,000 Jews reside in Munich, 2,500 of which are affiliated with the Jewish community.
