Jewish Democrats sent get well wishes to U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy. Kennedy, 76, a Massachusetts Democrat, was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor after a seizure over the weekend, his doctors said Tuesday. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sen. Edward Kennedy and his family at this difficult time,” the National Jewish Democratic Council said. “Kennedy is a powerhouse in the Democratic Party and has been a fighter for all Americans. We wish him a speedy recovery.
Kennedy, the second-longest serving member of the Senate, “is a strong supporter of NJDC and the Jewish community,” the council’s statement said.
