Failure of the Community Fund to raise its $1,100,000 quota by twenty-three per cent, brought a cut of that proportion in the budget requests of the five constituent Jewish organizations.
The five Federated Jewish Charities, Jewish Social Service Association, Jewish Center, Children’s Outing Society and Ladies Relief Sewing Society were given a total of approximately $44,000 for next year, as against $55,000 they had asked.
