The Jewish Hospital in the town of Debrocon was opened today, with Jewish community leaders and Joint; Distribution Committee officials joining in the dedication ceremonies. The institution has 60 beds and was constructed by the Debrocon Jewish Community with the assistance of the J.D.C. It is the first Jewish hospital over established in a provincial area.
Moses W, Bockelmann, vice-chairman of the J.D.C. European Council, who is now touring various agency installations throughout the Continent, was joined by the town’s mayor and representatives of the Ministry of Welfare in marking the opening of the hospital. Several rabbis pronounced blessings at the ceremony.
