A five-point appeal was cabled today by the Jewish National Council of Palestine to President Roosevelt, Prime Minister Winston Churchill, Soviet Premier Josef Stalin and heads of other governments of the United Nations.
The appeal asks: 1. Do your utmost to stop Nazi slaughter of Jews in Europe, 2. Warn the Nazis that they will be held to account for the killing of the Jews; 3. Save the remnants of European Jewry by exchanging Germans residing in the democratic countries for Jews in the ghettos; 4. Rescue Jewish children from the Nazis immediately; 5. Allow the Jews to fight as a people among the other peoples.
