Various literary projects which will serve as a basis for the publication schedule of the Jewish Publication Society next year were discussed at a conference in New York of Jewish scholars and prominent layment actively identified with the work of the Society.
Judge Louis E. Levinthal, president of the Society, addressing the gathering, spoke optimistically of the JPS’ function. An extensive report on the publication of Jewish experience in the United States and Jewish contributions to American democracy was given at the conference by Edwin Wolf 2nd, vice-president of the Society.
