A new settlement, to be known as Kibbutz Doroth, will be established on 500 dunams of Jewish National Fund land at Huj in Southern Palestine, in honor of Dov Hos, deputy mayor of Tel Aviv, and his wife and daughter, all of whom were killed in an automobile accident in December, 1940. The name “Doroth” is a combination of the first initials of Dov, Rebecca, his wife, and Tamar, his daughter.
