A Jewish war veteran who had kissed an “Aryan” girl who made no objection to being kissed was today in a Hildesheim jail serving a thirty-day sentence.
The veteran had already spent eight days under “protective arrest.” Sentence was passed despite the objections of his lawyer that kissing is not prohibited by the Nuremberg laws. Neither was the court deterred by the testimony of the girl that she had not objected to the veteran’s caresses.
In passing sentence, the court ruled that “by kissing an Aryan girl, the Jew insulted not only the girl, but the entire German nation.”
