Alfred Duff-Cooper, Parliamentary Financial Secretary of the War Office, in a passionate speech before the Primrose League against anti-Semitism and Fascism, declared that every country benefits from having Jews.
“Treat them as we did and make them equal fellow citizens and they become loyal, useful, good citizens, as good as any of us,” he declared.
“The Fascists would not have allowed Disraeli to join their party because Fascism aims at persecution and does not allow Jews to join the ranks.”
