The New Year’s honors list includes Louis Baron, son of the late Bernard Baron, for social and philanthropic service; Rose Rosenberg, for service as the personal secretary of Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald, and Leonard Lionel Cohen. The Palestine honors this year went only to the Armenian patriarch of Jerusalem, Leisee Turian, who received an honorary K.B.E.
