Arie Stern, Israeli consul in Italy, and Rafaele Cantoni, head of the Union of Jewish Communities of Italy, left today for Ban Stefano, a port on the Tyrhenian coast, 90 miles north of here where a South African passenger plane with eight Jews crashed this week-end. Stern will make arrangements for the transfer of the bodies to Rome for Jewish traditional burial.
The plane was en route to Nice when it crashed. Its previous two stops were at Haifa where the Jewish passengers boarded it and Athens.
