Dr. Joseph C. Brin, associate publisher of The Jewish Advocate and Professor of Semantics at the Boston University, died at his home in Brookline of a heart attack. He was 54 years old.
Although he came to the United States at the age of 12 with no knowledge of English, he became an expert in the language and was the author of several books on semantics and public speaking. He was trained in law at Boston University where he received his degrees. He was a member of the Massachusetts Federal Bar and was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
