The Ku Klux Klan, once all-powerful along this section of the Jersey coast, was all set to stage a revival meeting here tonight looking toward a possible comeback.
Pamphlets which flooded this section in advance of the meeting denied that a membership drive is contemplated, and set forth the purpose of the rally as “a warning of danger.”
“Are you a DOAC?” posters asked mysteriously, without defining the term. “If so,” they continued, “you are a menace.”
“Thousands are DOACS and do not know it,” the signs stated, concluding with the motto: “Destroy the DOACS!”
Speakers listed for the rally were Arthur H. Bell, former state grand dragon, and Mr. A. M. Young, a former national officer of the organization.
