Lebanon’s army deployed in southern Lebanon in accordance with a U.N. cease-fire resolution. The soldiers linked up with U.N. peacekeepers in an attempt to take over areas that were Hezbollah strongholds and had been taken over by Israeli forces during Israel’s monthlong war with the terrorist group.
