Leopold Pilichowski well known Jewish artist whose painting of the opening of the Hebrew University is widely known in Europe, arrived in the United States on the Olympic.
Mr. Pilichowski brought with him seventy of his paintings which will be exhibited here.
Speaking to the representative of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, Mr. Pilichowski stated he had always desired to visit the United States and acquaint himself with the new Jewish life here, adding that he plans to paint portraits of outstanding Jewish leaders as he had done in Europe.
