Louis Lipsky, Jewish leader and president of the Eastern life Insurance Company, has accepted the invitation of the Coat Fronts Association, Inc., of New York to become its executive arbiter and general adviser, according to an announcement issued by Samuel Lowenstein, secretary of the association.
In a statement accepting the post, Mr. Lipsky declared that the industry demands a union of all concerned — manufacturers, workers and suppliers of accessories — for self-protection against abuses and so-called racketeering, and for the development of mutual, cooperative interests.
The president of the association, which is located at 1440 Broadway, is Max Freedman.
Mr. Lipsky has been identified as a leader with numerous Jewish causes and is former president of the Zionist Organization of America.
