In October of last year the camp held some 4,000 Yemenite Jews who were waiting to go to Israel, including 700 who had fled to the camp after a severe pogrom in she city of Aden. The Joint Distribution Committee and the Aden Government agreed to ?ran sport the refugees, except for men of military age, to Israel. The J.D.C. is arranging air passage for the remaining 700 men and women who ?e not of military age, but nothing can be done for the others. In addition, the ?.D.C. is paying the fare to Israel for about 1,000 Jews, not now in the camp, whom the British have threatened with deportation to Yemen.
