The position of Lithuanian Jewry is becoming progressively worse, it was revealed today at a conference of the Jewish people’s banks of Lithuania.
Since the beginning of 1933, it was brought out at the conference, Jews have been slowly driven out of all branches of commerce, which are being concentrated in the hands of non-Jews. The sufferings of the Jews have also been increased by the devaluation of the dollar and the world economic crisis. American relatives of Lithuanian Jews have sharply reduced the amount of money being sent to Lithuania.
