Joseph Kahn, London town councillor, was today fined five pounds for "obstructing the police" yesterday at the Mosley open air meeting in the East End section.

Mr. Kahn, who was arested when he attempted to copy the license number of the car in which the fascist leader rode, was given a tongue lashing by the magistrate. "I think you acted like a perfect fool," the magistrate said. "You ought to know as a town councillor what trouble the police have at these meetings and you go and add to their difficulties. It’s preposterous."

The police yesterday snatched from the hands of several Jews a banner in English and Hebrew. The Jews, members of a Mapam group which held an open air meeting in Hyde Park, were on route to a trade union meeting in Trafalgar Square. They denied that they were violating the government ban on political parades, asserting that they were merely walking as a group to the union meeting.
