A monthly Jewish magazine in the Swedish language for the thousands of Jewish families in Sweden and nearby countries has been started by the Scandinavian office of the educational arm of the Lubavitcher Hassidic movement.
Rabbi Azriel Chaikin, director of the Lubavitcher educational unit in Copenhagen, said there was an acute lack of Jewish literature for Scandinavian Jews in their native language. He said that “Talks and Tales” is the only Jewish educational periodical in Swedish in the country.
