Asserting that the Keren Hayesod and the Jewish National Fund must play a decisive role “in this year of transition,” the heads of twelve major American Zionist groups issued a joint proclamation today calling upon Zionists of all parties to form a united front in support of the $250,000,000 cam-sing of the United Jewish Appeal as a means of securing the establishment of the Jewish state in Palestine.
The Keren Hayesod and the Jewish National Fund, which are the component bodies of the United Palestine-Appeal, derive their American support from the combined campaign of the U.J.A. The proclamation called upon the members and friends of the various Zionist organizations to take the lead in the mobilization of all resources of local communities through the formation of representative councils embracing all Zionist groups.
