A list of 95 nominees is being run by the Mapai party in Israel for election as delegates to the forthcoming World Zionist Congress, it was revealed today when Mapai made its list public.
The Mapai list is headed by 12 leaders, starting with Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion; Zalman Salazar, a member of the Jewish Agency executive; and Moshe Sharett, former Prime Minister and ex-Foreign Minister. After the twelve, 74 others are listed in alphabetical order. In addition, there are nine Mapai candidates who must be elected as Zionists holding life tenure.
