Maxim Stern, well-known Jewish revolutionary leader in Czarist Russia, and vetern of the Jewish Socialist Bund, died here, aged 71, after a prolonged illness.
Mr. Stern, who was also a leader of the ORT, and active in other Jewish organizations, left Russia after the Communist revolution. He resided in Germany until the Nazis came to power, taking an active interest in Jewish affairs. He settled in Brazil after the outbreak of World War II.
