Two meatless days each week were proclaimed for Palestine today in a new defense order issued by the Palestine authorities. Tuesdays and Wednesdays have been designed by this order as the days when the sale of meat will be prohibited throughout the country.
The rationing of bread is also expected here shortly as one of the measures to make Palestine self-supporting and less dependent on deliveries from overseas countries.
